Our Story

Established in 2021, Beasts Armoured Combat is a community for medieval combat enthusiasts aged 18 and above. We offer a supportive environment where members can thrive in this exhilarating sport, fostering camaraderie and belonging.

Since our inception, we've competed globally against top teams, while staying true to our values as a close-knit, grounded community united by our passion for the sport.

Colin Campbell

Colin Campbell, known for their vibrant and unique identity as a fancy metallic purple duck, embodies the spirit of quacking enjoyment and flair. Embracing the pronouns ze/zir, Colin confidently struts through life with a distinct walk, teaching others with the same joy and enthusiasm that comes naturally to ducks. With an impressive orange bill that sets zir apart, Colin has made a significant impact by bringing smiles to faces and ensuring that the love for ducks resonates far and wide. Quack quack!

OUR COACHES

Mario Brandli

Mario Brandli, known as Australia’s number one sub bottom railman at Brisbane Beasts, brings an infectious passion and love for the sport that inspires everyone around him. With a fierce fighting style that aims to make opponents submit, just like he does, Mario's prowess was recognised when he was appointed to the Australian 12v12 team at the 2023 Buhurt League World Cup. A multiple titleholder across Australia, his kind and caring nature is a true asset to the Brisbane Beasts, making him not just a formidable athlete but also a valued coach and mentor in the community. #hungbttm #openfighter

Harrison Milne

Harrison Milne, esteemed Treasurer and assistant coach of the Beasts, doth embody virtues of communication, strength, and fitness. With a passion that stirreth the soul, he findeth joy in engaging in combat with a sword, reveling in the thrill of the tussle. His teaching approach is imbued with kindness, compassion, and the spirit of teamwork, whilst he upholdeth the principles of consent and communication as his guiding ethos. A knight of distinguished accomplishments, he possesseth beautiful flowing locks and hath fought valiantly upon both national and international stages. Harrison's impact resonates through the realms of confidence, skill, and the art of communication, inspiring all who cross his path.
